CP009 – Electronic Measuring System Car‑O‑Tronic Vision2 X1 & Vision2 X2

A two day course on the Electronic Measuring System Car-O-Tronic Vision2 X1 & Vision2 X2 for collision repair technicians, covering methods and equipment for setting up and measuring a damaged vehicle. Included are lower and upper body measuring, and using vehicle data sheets.

 

COURSE OVERVIEW

Target group:
Repair technicians who desire more knowledge about the repair process and training on Car‑O‑Tronic.

Previous Training:
No previous training required.

Objectives:
After completion of the training, the participant should have knowledge of:

  • An understanding of the different steps in the repair process
  • Setting up the car on a bench
  • How to find, read and use the data sheet
  • How to estimate the damage, to complete the damage documentation and to send the damage report by e-mail
  • How to fully use the electronic measuring system as it is applied in under and upper body measurement and absolute and comparative measuring
  • How to centre and measure a car without a data sheet

Theory and practical exercise in mounting cars on benches:

  • Methods for different types of damage
  • Attaching the chassis clamps

Theory and practical exercise in Centering:

  • Which measuring points are used
  • Alternative centering
    • Two-point centering
    • Centering without data sheet
    • Spread, length and width
    • Analysis of centering

Theory and practical in Measuring:

  • Low measuring points
  • High measuring points
  • Absolute measuring
  • Point-to-point measuring

Theory and practical exercise in Analysis:

  • Simple damage analysis

Theory and practical exercise in Draw aligner and dolly kit:

  • Arm- and vector draw aligners
  • Various dolly kits
  • Universal holding and fixture system
  • Practical exercise, drawing and aligning techniques

Theory and practical exercise in presentation of results:

  • Reports, printouts for different purposes
